Kwara Monarch Commends Gov. AbdulRazaq on Commissioner's Appointment

The Onigbin of Oke-Onigbin in Isin Local Government, Oba Kamaldeen Salaudeen Olatayo, Abegun II, has commended the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the appointment of Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas as a Commissioner in the State.

The Monarch gave this commendation at Oke-Onigbin during a visit by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas to his palace.

Oba Salaudeen Olatayo, who described the Commissioner as a good daughter of Oke-Onigbin in view of her contributions to the socio-economic development of the town and Isin in general, urged her not to relent in her efforts at making the town a role model in the state.

While eulogizing the contributions of the Commissioner's family to developmental strides in the town, the Traditional Ruler enjoined her to continue to maintain the legacies of her father as a foremost politician in the state.

In her response, the Commissioner disclosed that the purpose of her visit to the monarch was to express her appreciation to him for his support and invaluable counselling at all times.

Mrs. Thomas further thanked the Royal Father for given the present administration, under the leadership of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq his maximum support at sustaining the peaceful atmosphere for which the state is known.

She, however, promised to be a good ambassador of Isin Local Government, and also work effectively with other political stakeholders in the area for the growth and development of Oke-Onigbin Community.
 
The Commissioner was accompanied on the visit by Member, representing Isin Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. AbdulRasaq Olakunle Omotosho and Isin Local Government TIC Chairman, Hon. Tunde Fadipe, among others.
